Advanced Dry Film Lubricant Coatings
Series 400
For Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Metals and Alloys

Series 400 "Solid Film Lubricant" Specifications

Suitable Alloys

"Solid Film Lubricant" coatings can be applied to most ferrous and non-ferrous metals, glass, rubber and other elastomerics.

Base Metal Surface Requirements

To maximize coating performance, surface contamination and imperfections must be removed prior to coating to ensure adhesion and performance results.

  • Certified to military and
    aerospace specifications.
  • Provides dry lubricated
    surface to prevent wear
    and galling.
  • Wide temperature range
    from cryogenic to 1200ºF
  • Provides excellent
    corrosion resistance.

Coating Thickness

The recommended coating thickness depends generally on the application, and desired performance factors. The coating is a controlled process for surface growth and overall deposits and is normally applied between 0.0003 inch and 0.0007 inch.

Chemical & Corrosion Resistance

"Solid Film Lubricant" coatings are inert to most chemicals, including acids, alkalies and solvents, and exhibit excellent corrosion resistance. Upon request, we will supply coated samples and recommend that you evaluate the selected Endura® coating under your specific application conditions.

Operating Temperature Range

Coatings will withstand severe temperature extremes without loss of physical properties, and are designed for operation from cryogenic to 1200º F.

Electrical Properties

Our "Solid Film Lubricant" coatings are available from conductive to offering dielectric strength.
