Composite Diamond Coating (CDC)
& Other Treatments
For Most Ferrous & Non-Ferrous Metals

Critical Factors For Processing Series

Coating Thickness

CDC Composite Diamond Coating consist of a total area build-up; consequently, you must allow for the surface growth (typically between 0.0005 and 0.002 inch) before machining. Tolerances are typically held within ± 0.0002 inch. To ensure dimensional integrity after coating, Endura® will submit coating thickness values during the design phase, when requested.

Base Metal Surface Requirements

Surface contaminants and imperfections must be removed prior to processing at Endura® Coatings. Based on the extreme coating uniformity, any surface irregularities before coating will remain after coating.

Masking

Series 1100 CDC Composite Diamond Coating have the capability of entire surface coverage, including blind holes, recessed areas and any complex surface geometry. Masking should be clearly noted on your prints or corresponding documentation if required. Of course, masking is often unnecessary, given the perfect uniformity of the CDC layer.
